Men's Soccer falls to Jessup
Simpson University Sports News
ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Simpson men’s soccer team (2-9) team traveled to Mahany Field in Roseville, Calif., to try and duplicate its dramatic win from earlier this season over William Jessup University (5-7). They were thwarted, however, in their efforts by a Jessup team that didn’t lose focus and won the game 2-0.
Simpson matched Jessup with each team attempting three shots-on-goal. Jessup was able to convert two of their three shots-on-goal, and Simpson didn’t convert any. Alex Barclay scored both goals in the second half for Jessup. Simpson’s Kerry Meehan, Michael Guzman, and Chao Xiong all took one shot on goal apiece.
Simpson continues its California Pacific Conference play on Oct. 31 against Holy Names University in Oakland, Calif. The game is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
