Another split for Red Hawks

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University softball team split a doubleheader with Holy Names University on Saturday Feb. 28 at Big League Dreams. Holy Names won the first game 3-2; Simpson won the second game 6-0.

In the first game, Leah Metz scored Simpson’s first run in the bottom of the sixth inning off a Stefanie Singh single to left field. Nikki Feuerbach scored the Lady Red Hawks’ other run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

In game two of the doubleheader, Danielle Crisosto went 3-for-3 and scored two runs. Sylvia Parker went 3-for-4 and scored one run. Leah Metz went 2-for-3 and scored two runs.

The Lady Red Hawks’ next game is a doubleheader on Monday March 2 against Corban College in Salem, Ore. The first game starts at 11 a.m.
