Simpson splits on Oakland trip

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University volleyball team split their matches this weekend losing 0-3 to Holy Names University on Friday, Oct. 30 and defeating Mills College 3-0 on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Against Holy Names, junior Kelly Brown led the Red Hawks with nine digs, and senior Jenna Chandler led the team with eight kills. Senior Nicole Eileen recorded 13 assists, and sophomore Jenny Hopkins contributed 10 assists.

On Saturday, Oct. 31, the Red Hawks picked up their fourth conference win defeating Mills College 3-0. Brown led with seven kills and contributed 11 digs. Eileen led the team with 15 assist and 15 digs.

Simpson returns to action on Nov.6 against Bethany University at the Heritage Student Life Center. The game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
