Women's Soccer Falls Short to Hustlin' Owls
Simpson University Sports News
REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University women’s soccer team traveled to Klamath Falls, Ore., on Tuesday to face the Oregon Institute of Technology Owls in a non-conference matchup.
In a game that was evenly matched throughout, it was OIT that came out on top scoring two second half goals. Krystal Foster netted a header from Cole Brooke within the first five minutes of the second half to put the Owls on the board. OIT’s next and final goal didn’t come until nine minutes left in the game when Kaila Dillon sent a 28-yard shot sailing over junior goalie Jordan England’s head for the unassisted score.
The Red Hawks had three looks at shots on goal but none would pass the barrier for a goal. Simpson goalie England chalked up three saves on the afternoon once again showing a solid presence around the net for the Red Hawks. Women’s soccer now looks to bounce back against Oregon Tech again on Sept. 8 at the Redding Soccer Complex. Kick-off is at 5:00 p.m.
