Red Hawks fall short against The Master's College

REDDING, Ore. - Simpson University men's basketball team was defeated by The Master's College 63-37 on the second day of the NCCAA West Regional Classic. The Red Hawks were only down six points 28-22 at halftime, but the size and speed of the Mustangs proved to be too much for Simpson to handle.
Senior Justin Chapel lead Simpson with 12 points and four rebounds, and fellow senior Pat Magno followed with 10 points and three assists. The Mustangs' Devin Dyer had a game high 16 points. Anthony Cammon had 13 points, and Anthony Wells had 10 points for the Master's College.
Simpson returns to action on Monday, Dec. 20 against Southwestern College at the Heritage Student Life Center on the final day of tournament play. Tip-off set for 2 p.m.
