Red Hawks show improvement against Oregon Tech

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Simpson University men's basketball team traveled to Klamath Falls, Ore., on Tuesday, Nov. 30 to take on No. 16 Oregon Tech for the second time this season. These two teams faced each other on Wednesday, Nov. 24 with the game ending in OIT's favor.
Simpson was down 45-27 at halftime, which was an improvement from the 11 points they scored in the first half the first time these two teams met. OIT outscored the Red Hawks 50-31 in the second half to maintain their lead and earn the 95-58 win.
Senior Pat Magno led Simpson with 10 points and four assists, and junior Phillip Templeton contributed nine points. Freshman Andrew Baxter and junior Michael Silliman each added eight points to Simpson's overall total.
Kyle Gomez, who had 25 points and seven rebounds, led Oregon Tech. Joseph Foster contributed 14 points, and Bryant Sentman added 13 points. Brent Johnson had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Hustlin' Owls.
Simpson returns to action when they travel to McMinville, Ore., to take on Linfield College on Friday, Dec. 10. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
