Red Hawks finish eighth at NCCAA Nationals

PANAMA CITY, Fla. - The Simpson University men's golf team traveled to Panama City, Fla., on October 11-12 to compete in the NCCAA Nationals. The Red Hawks did well in team play finishing tied for eighth with a score of 945. The Master's College won the tournament.

Senior Micah Eppler led the way for Simpson with a score of 227. Junior Mitch Card finished tied for 21st with a score of 232. Freshman Nick Maddalena had a score of 240 and tied for 42nd. Freshman Kyle Herman finished tied for 66th with a score of 249.

This solid performance as well as their strong play in other tournaments helped the Red Hawks rank in the NAIA top 25 this week. The team's final tournament of the fall season is The Master's College Invitational Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Santa, Clarita, Calif.
