2010 California Pacific Conference Softball All Conference Team Announced

REDDING, Calif. - California Pacific Conference regular season champion Simpson University won three individual awards and placed five players on the first team to headline the California Pacific Conference softball all-conference team, Commissioner Don Ott announced today.

Simpson sophomore infielder Valerie Rodriguez who was named Player of the Year was joined on the first team by Morgan Davis (third base), Stefanie Singh (shortstop), Nicki Feuerbach (outfielder) and Haley Rodriguez (pitcher). Haley Rodriguez was named Pitcher of the Year. Simpson University coach Wayne Stower won Coach of the Year.

Holy Names University, the representative in the NAIA Softball National Championships from the NAIA West Region, placed three players on the first team: Alexis Moctezuma (outfielder), Melanie Verrico (utility) and Stephani Fairclough (pitcher). First year program William Jessup University had four representatives on the first team: catcher Kiki Franco, first baseman Mallory Blodgett, designated player Traci Hart and pitcher Kara Besseghini. Menlo College placed one member on the team - outfielder Nadia Le'i. Newcomer of the Year went to William Jessup's Kiki Franco; the Freshmen of the Year went to Mallory Blodgett of William Jessup.
