Simpson continues win streak against Multnomah

REDDING, Calif. – The Simpson University volleyball team continued their winning ways against non-conference opponent Multnomah Bible University on Saturday, Oct. 16. They defeated the Lady Lions in three straight sets (25-22, 25-14, 25-16) to claim their sixth straight victory.

Simpson once again had a dominate overall performance. Junior Chanel Coleman once again led the Lady Red Hawks in kills with 17. Freshman Lauren Godinet did great on the defensive side of the game by getting 16 digs. Senior Kelly Brown, returning back from injuring her chin against Northwest Christian, recorded five blocks and nine digs. Micala Drews was amazing on the net with four blocks.

Kaitlyen Reidt had seven digs and one block for Multnomah. Megan Collier and Kari Anderson each had three kills for the Lady Lions.

The Lady Red Hawks return to conference action on Saturday, Oct. 23 against William Jessup University in Rocklin, Calif. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
