Lady Red Hawks shut out at home by Holy Names

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University women's soccer team lost a difficult game to Holy Names University on Saturday, Oct. 30. The Hawks' offense was running on all cylinders in their 8-0 shut out over Simpson. Holy Names out shot Simpson 19-5. They had 14 shots on goal compared to Simpson's two shots on goal.
Senior Heather Perez and freshman Bethany Dunlap each had two shots and one shot on goal for the Red Hawks. Senior Karissa Hansen recorded the other shot for Simpson. Natasha Kamps and freshman Morghan Pomeroy shared goalie duties. Kamps gave up one goal and recorded two saves. Pomeroy gave up seven goals and recorded five saves.
Nikol Molano and Monique Reyes each scored three goals for Holy Names. Brittanie Perez and Linda Wiks Fors each added a goal as well.
The Lady Red Hawks return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 3 against Mills College. Simpson won the first meeting between these two teams. The game will be played at the Simpson soccer field. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
