Simpson women's soccer picked to finish fourth in coaches poll

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University women's soccer team was picked to finish fourth in the 2010 California Pacific Conference coaches poll. The Lady Red Hawks finished fourth last season with a 5-5 conference record and 8-9 overall record. Senior Courtney Opie and sophomore Rebecca Borrelli return to lead the Red Hawks this season.
The Holy Names University Hawks were selected to be the coaches pick to win the California Pacific Conference. The Hawks received three first place votes.
Last year, Holy Names was the Cal Pac representative in the NAIA National Tournament and fell to Concordia University in the first round in Portland.
Two of the three remaining first place votes went to William Jessup University and Menlo College took the final first place vote.
