Scott proves to be too much for Red Hawks

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University men's basketball team took on the Holy Names University Hawks on Saturday, Jan. 15 at the Heritage Student Life Center in Redding, Calif. The Hawks came away with the 100-84 victory.
Pat Magno scored 16 points and dished out eight assists for the Red Hawks. Junior Bryan Castillo scored 16 points, and junior Calvin Smith followed with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Andrew Baxter had 14 points.
The Hawks' David Scott was the deciding factor in this game. He scored 34 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Joshua Smith scored 14 points and had nine rebounds. Zac Sewitsky followed with 12 points and five rebounds. Eric Webster scored 10 points for Holy Names.
The Red Hawks travel to Vallejo, Calif., to take on CSU Maritime on Thursday, Jan. 20. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
