Eppler selected as inaugural Golfer of the Week

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University senior Micah Eppler had three top 11 finishes during the fall season and was selected as the inaugural California Pacific Conference Golfer of the Week for the dates of January 3-10, 2011. This week's award covers the entire season up until January 10.
A native of Alturas, Calif., Eppler finished in the top 11 three times in the Red Hawks first four tournaments. He finished seventh with an even par (216) at the Cavalier Classic in Portland, Ore. He tied for fourth with a +1 (214) at the Holy Names Fall Invitational in North Alameda, Calif., which was the first of the California Pacific Conference conference match of the season. Eppler finished tied for 11th with +11 (227) at the NCCAA National Tournament in Panama City Beach, Fla. Eppler also finished tied for 38th with a +22 (238) at the Mustang Invitational in Santa Clarita, Calif.
The next tournament that the Red Hawks will be participating in is the William Jessup Invitational. This event will be held February 20 at The Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Calif.
