Red Hawks finish tournament play with two loses

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Simpson University's women's volleyball team was again in action as they completed their participation in The Master's College Tournament with two more matches against some tough opponents. They found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreline in both matches losing to the University of Great Falls Argos (18-25, 22-25, 22-25) and then against Cardinal Stritch Wolves (15-25, 21-25, 23-25).

The Red Hawks were able to take some positive experience from the tournament even though they finished with a 1-6 record in the tournament. The opposition was tough throughout the entire tournament and the Red Hawks were able to compete in all of the matches. They will look to build on the experience that they have gained as the continue preseason play and eventually into their Cal Pac conference play.

Next up for the Red Hawks will be another lengthy road trip. This time it will be five matches in four days which will begin on Monday, Aug. 29 where they will take on the Owls from Oregon Tech at 3 p.m. in Klamath Falls, Ore.
