Red Hawks fall to Beacons for second time this season

Simpson University Sports News

EUGENE, Ore. - The Red Hawks women's volleyball team continued their Oregon road trip with a visit in Eugene where they faced the Beacons from Northwest Christian University for the second time this season. Earlier this season, Northwest Christian claimed the 3-1 victory over Simpson. The Beacons again defeated the Red on Tuesday, Aug. 30, winning the match 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 24-26, 14-25).

The Red Hawks are still struggling to get the results that they want as their record now drops to 1-10 on the season. However, they are feeling optimistic and confident in their performances as they approach their conference schedule, which begins mid-September.

Simpson continues their Oregon trip on Wednesday, Aug. 31. They will play two matches in Portland first against Walla Walla University at 3 p.m. and then later that evening verses Multnomah University at 7 p.m.
