Simpson wins last regular season game against PUC

ANGWIN, Calif. - Simpson University's women's volleyball team traveled to take on the Pacific Union Pioneers on Saturday, Nov. 5 in Angwin, Calif. The Red Hawks won the match in four sets (25-13, 25-13, 25-27, 25-18).
The Red Hawks controlled most of the match as the coasted to easy wins in the first two sets. It seemed to be going their way in the third set because they were leading 23-19. The Pioneers, however, fought back to take the set 27-25. The Red Hawks rebounded and started the fourth set on a 6-1 run, which eventually led to a 25-18 victory.
Red Hawk outside hitter Jackie Nixon led all players in kills with 13 in her final game with the Red Hawks. For the Pioneers, Jenna Glantz led the way with 11 kills.
With the win, the Red Hawks improve their record to 11-17 overall and 7-3 in the Cal Pac, which was good enough for a third place conference finish. This was the the final game for Simpson seniors Jackie Nixon, Cashel White and Jenny Hopkins, who will be graduating after this school year.
