Simpson earns two road victories in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Red Hawks women's volleyball team took to the court in Portland today as they continued their Oregon trip with matches against the Wolves from Walla Walla University and the Lions from Multnomah University. The Red Hawks beat the Wolves in four sets (21-25, 25-13, 25-12, 25-22) and then took the match from the Lions in three straight sets (25-10, 25-3, 25-15).

These wins put the Red Hawks record to 3-10 on the season as they found the win column for the first time since beating Arizona Christian University in The Master's College tournament. Also with these wins the Red Hawks are starting to reap the benefits of all the hard work and strong performances they have put in this preseason.

The Red Hawks will finish their Oregon trip Thursday, Sept. 1 with another doubleheader first verses Mayville State in Portland at 11 a.m. and then George Fox University in Newburg at 7 p.m.
