Red Hawks beat conference rivals in four sets

ROCKLIN, Calif. - Simpson University's women's volleyball team traveled to take on the Warriors from William Jessup University on Friday, Oct. 7. They came out on top in four sets (23-25, 25-12, 25-12, 26-23).

The Red Hawks were lead by Kirsten Duren who finished the night with 13 kills and 21 assists. Also contributing to the victory was Cashel White who converted 11 kills; Kelly Tycksen who finished with 18 assists and eight; digs and Jamie Pickett who had 11 digs. On the other side of the net, Sara Hickenbottom who had 14 kills and Elaina Murphy who had 26 assists in the losing effort for the Warriors.

The win improves the Red Hawks season record to 7-15 and more importantly 3-1 in the Cal Pac Conference. They will look to build on this success when they next take the court in another conference matchup. They play the Pioneers from Pacific Union College, who are winless in the conference, in Redding on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.
