Lady Red Hawks finish eighth at Chico State Invite

Simpson University's women's golf team participated in the InterWest Chico State Invitational on March 21-22. They placed eighth at the invitational. The other teams were Western Washington University, CSU Monterey Bay, Grand Canyon University, Academy of Art University, Drury University, Chico State University, and CSU East Bay. Grand Canyon University claimed the first place spot at the invitational.

Freshman Stephanie Hammell was the leading golfer for the Lady Red Hawks. Her overall score was 186. She shot a 91 on day one and a 95 on day two. She tied for 41st place. Sophomore Brionna Goulart placed 44th overall with a score of 189. She shot 97 on day one and 92 on day two. Freshman Victoria Souza placed 47th overall with a score of 217. She shot a 11 in round one and a 106 in round two. Senior Kim Dunn placed 48th overall with a score of 241. She shot 117 in round one and 124 in round two.
