Simpson finishes sixth at NAIA Regional Qualifier

MONROE, Ore. - Simpson University's women's golf team competed in the NAIA Regional Qualifier golf tournament on Monday, April 11 and Tuesday, April 12 in Monroe, Ore. Seven other teams competed in the tournament: California Baptist University, Concordia University-Portland, College of Idaho, Northwest Christian University, Corban University, Biola University, and Warner Pacific University. Cal Baptist won the tournament; Simpson placed sixth.

Simpson freshman Stephanie Hammell was the top golfer for the Lady Red Hawks. She placed 21st with a score of 274. Sophomore Brionna Goulart finished 25th with a score of 291. Freshman Victoria Souza placed 29th with a score of 320. Senior Kim Dunn placed 32nd with a score of 339.
