Red Hawks compete in Humboldt Invitational

EUREKA, Calif. - The Red Hawks cross country team took part in the Humboldt Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 8.
The men’s cross country team finished in fourth place in the team competition with 107 points. Southern Oregon finished in first place with 23 points, Humboldt State finished in second with 33 points, and Fresno Pacific finished in third with 98 points.
Individually, Southern Oregon's Eric Avila set the pace with a time of 24:48.24. Tony Moore led the Red Hawks and finished in 20th place overall with a time of 26:39.70.
The women’s cross country team finished in sixth place with 151 points. Humboldt State won the team portion of the competition with 29 points, Southern Oregon finished in second place with 65 points, and Sonoma State in third with 70 points. The Red Hawks finished in 6th place with 151 points.
Individually, Southern Oregon's Summer Cano led the way with a time of 22:00.04. Rebekah Studebaker led the Red Hawks with a time of 23:29.68.
The Red Hawks will be in action again on Saturday, Sept. 15, when the compete in the Nor Cal Challenge.
