REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University's men's basketball team is playing the Menlo College Oaks on Wednesday, Feb. 22, in round one of the California Pacific Conference Tournament. Simpson is the No. 5 seed, and Menlo College is the No. 2 seed.

January 5 - Menlo 74, Simpson 73 (Haynes-Prim Pavilion – Atherton, Calif.)

Tim Tatum had a double-double with a game high 26 points and 15 rebounds, as the Oaks won in a nail biter. Justin Phillips and Travis Derochowski both had 17 points for the Red Hawks. Both teams had 35 rebounds apiece. ChaRunn Jones had 20 points, and Carlos Monroy had nine points for Menlo. Bryan Castillo had 15 points, and Calvin Smith had 14 points for the Red Hawks.

January 28 - Simpson 56, Menlo 52 (Heritage Student Life Center – Redding, Calif.)

Bryan Castillo had a game high 14 points, as the Red Hawks beat the Oaks in another tight game between the two schools. ChaRunn Jones also had 13 points for the Oaks. Menlo out-rebounded Simpson 47-37. Ian Corella had 11 points, and Travis Derochowski had 10 points for the Red Hawks. Tim Tatum had nine points along with 22 rebounds, and Andrew Young had eight points for the Oaks.
