ATHERTON, Calif. - The Red Hawks men’s soccer team traveled to take on the Oaks from Menlo College on Saturday, Nov. 4, losing the season finale 4-0.

In the first half, the Oaks pressured the Red Hawk goal early with goalkeeper Justin Webb coming up with some huge saves to keep the score tied a 0-0. The Oaks found their breakthrough late in the first half when Nicholas Krahnke scored to give the Oaks a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Hugo Conchas doubled the Oaks’ lead less than 10 minutes into the second half off an assist from Alex Vukic. Vukic then turned from goal assister to goal scorer just two minutes later when he extended Menlo’s lead to 3-0. Andrew Cota finished off the scoring, when Alex Palomarez found the path of Cota who got the ball past Webb to make it 4-0.

The Oaks secured their second straight Cal Pac championship, during which they have not lost in conference play. They extended their Cal Pac win streak to 18.

Despite the defeat, the Red Hawks clinched second place in the Cal Pac with a conference record of 5-2-1.
