Red Hawks shut out PUC

REDDING, Calif. - The Red Hawks men’s soccer team was in action on Sunday, Oct. 14, when they traveled to take on the Pioneers from Pacific Union College. The Red Hawks came away with a 5-0 victory.
The Red Hawks’ first goal came in the 23rd minute, when Angel Garcia sent a corner kick into the box, Cody Garrison headed it toward goal, and Jordan Ferrier put the ball in the net to make it 1-0. The Red Hawks took the 1-0 lead into the break.
The second half was a tense affair until there were 10 minutes left to play in the game and Andrew Sill scored off a pass from Jordan Daigre to give the Red Hawks a 2-0 lead. After that, the Red Hawks added three more goals in the final minutes. The first goal was from Ferrier, who was assisted by Kyle Ochoa; the final two goals came from Tyler Goens, who was assisted by Daigre on the fourth goal and Ferrier on the final goal. All the scored added up to a 5-0 win for the Red Hawks.
The Red Hawks will try and keep the momentum going on Wednesday, Oct. 17, when they host the Oaks from Menlo College at 3 p.m.
