Turnovers hurt Red Hawks in loss to Warriors

ASHLAND, Ore. - The Red Hawks women's basketball team continued their tough Oregon road trip on Sunday, Nov. 25, when they took on the Warriors from Lewis-Clark State. The Red Hawks lost by 15 points to give the Warriors an 83-68 victory.
The Red Hawks led 4-2 with 18:43 to play in the half, but the Warriors would then take control. They led by as many of 14 points before taking a nine-point lead into the break (44-35). Ornela Bacchini led the Warriors in the half with 10 points and nine rebounds.
In the second half, the Warriors maintained control and led by 23 points with 8:08 left in the game. The Warriors’ final margin of victory was 15 points. They ended the game with an 83-68 win.
The Red Hawks turned the ball over 18 times in the game, which the Warriors converted into 23 points.
Loree Hill led the Warriors to victory with 18 points, and Bacchini had a double-double consisting of 12 points and 11 rebounds. Annie Kane also contributed 16 points for the Warriors.
The Red Hawks will finish their road trip on Tuesday, Nov. 27, when the take on the Beacons from Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Ore., at 5:30 p.m.
