Red Hawks improve on day two Point Loma tournament

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Red Hawk women's golf team were in action on Tuesday on the second and final round of the Point Loma Nazarenes San Diego Championship.
The event was dominated by Cal Poly who won the team competition by 18 stokes with a score of 313. In second was Grand Canyon University with a 331 and Chico State rounded out the top 3 with a 333. The Red Hawks did not place in the team portion because they only had two competitors.
It was Cal Poly's Laura Howard who won the event in a playoff against fellow teammate Asia Adell. Both players shot 156 (+12) over the 36 hole event. Sonoma State's Spencer Heller finished in third with a score of 157 (+13). As for the Red Hawks golfers it was Brionna Goulart who led the way with a 95 for a total of 204 to finish in 86th place and Victoria Souza who shot a 103 for a total of 206 to finish in 94th place.
