Lady Red Hawks picked to finish third in the Cal Pac’s North Division

REDDING, Calif. - In a vote of the California Pacific Conference's seven women's soccer coaches, Simpson University’s women’s soccer team was picked to finish third in the northern division. Defending California Pacific Conference co-champion William Jessup University was picked to win the northern division, and conference newcomer Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University was selected as the top team in the southern division.
The Warriors received three out of a possible four first place votes and 15 points out of a possible 40 points for the first place finish. Menlo College came in second in the voting receiving 13 points and one first place vote. Simpson University came in third with seven points.
The Eagles received eight points out of a possible 18 points for the first place finish. They also received two first place votes. Marymount came in second with six points and one first place vote, and Soka came in third with four points.
For the first time in conference history, the California Pacific Conference will be conducting a four-team tournament to decide who is going to be the conference's representative to the NAIA Women's Soccer National Tournament. This year's tournament will be held at Soka University from November 8-10.
The final results of the coaches' poll for the north division are as follows:<
1. William Jessup (15 points, 3 first place votes)
2. Menlo (13 point,, 1 first place vote)
3. Simpson University (7 points)
4. UC Merced (5 points)

1. Embry-Riddle (8 points, 2 first place votes)
2. Marymount (6 points, 1 first place vote)
3. Soka (4 points)
