Red Hawks shut out by Penguins

REDDING, Calif. - The Lady Red Hawks soccer team continued their tough preseason schedule with a trip to San Rafael, Calif., to play former Cal Pac rivals Dominican University on Thursday, Sept. 20. The Penguins jumped out early and never looked back, as they enjoyed a 7-0 victory.

Julianna Bratsberg got the Penguins off to a great start scoring in the seventh and eighth minutes to give the Penguins an early 2-0 lead. McKenna Kimball added a third goal in the 25th minute, and Dominican took the 3-0 lead into the break.

In the second half, the Penguins scored their fourth goal in the 46th minute. Dominican finished off the half with a Sara Pimentel goal in the 75th minute, a goal from Kayla Treanor in the 79th minute, and another Pimentel goal in the 87th minute to give the Penguins a 7-0 win.

The Red Hawks have a 10-day break before they take to the field again. They host Marymount College on Sunday, Sept. 30, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
