Simpson advances to NAIA cross country nationals

FRESNO, Calif. - Simpson University's men and women's cross country teams competed in the 2013 California Pacific Conference Cross Country Championships on Monday, Nov. 4, held at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif.

The women’s team placed first out of nine teams, qualifying them to compete in the NAIA National Tournament. Rebekah Studebaker and Jaclyn Van Schooten both made the top seven all-conference team. Studebaker finished second overall with a time of 19:07, and Van Schooten finished sixth overall with a time of 20:12.

The men’s team placed fifth out of nine teams. Tony Moore placed fifth individually with a time of 26:38. He made the all-conference team and will be competing at the NAIA National Tournament.
