Simpson wrestlers compete to in two weekend events

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University’s men’s wrestling team participated in their first dual of the season on Saturday, Nov. 2 against Clackamas Community College.

The Red Hawks exhibited great teamwork and support as each wrestler prepared for their match. Sophomore Brady Beamon, who competed in the 165 lb. weight class, and sophomore Austin Lobsinger, who competed in the heavyweight class, both came away with wins in their rounds.

Lobsinger also participated in the 2013 San Francisco State 21 & Under Open on Sunday, Nov. 3 and placed second in the 285 lb. weight class. A.J. Valles also participated in the Open and placed 2 in the 133 lb. weight class.

Simpson will prepare for their duals against Lassen Community College and Sierra Community College on Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Susanville, Calif.
