Simpson University Sports News

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University women’s volleyball team hosted the Embry-Riddle University Eagles on Friday, Nov. 8. The Red Hawks pulled out a five-set (15-25, 26-24, 25-13, 16-25, 15-12) victory despite of injury to senior Kelly Tycksen.

For two of the Simpson volleyball team members, it was their final home game as a Lady Red Hawk. Tycksen played some of her final home game before suffering from an unfortunate knee injury, yet remained on the sideline cheering her team to victory. Lauren Godinet was the other senior, who also played for the Red Hawks for four years. Both will be missed as they part from the volleyball program and move on with what God has planned for their lives.

The Red Hawks will continue on to their final conference game against Pacific Union College on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in Angwin, Calif.
