Red Haws lose on the road to OIT

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - After dropping their first two matches of the season in straight sets to Warner Pacific University (25-23, 25-22, 25-20) and Concordia University-Portland (25-18, 25-12, 25-20), the Simpson University women’s volleyball team was looking for its first win of the season against the Owls from Oregon Tech on Wednesday, August 28. Unfortunately, the Owls defeated the Red Hawks in four sets (25-18, 25-23, 18-25, 26-24).

The Red Hawk attack was led by Audrey Green, who had a match-high 20 kills. Jamie Pickett recorded 11 kills in the losing effort. Kelly Tycksen finished with 40 assists, and Jazmin Wallace had 23 digs.

The Red Hawks will now turn their attention to the Raiders from Southern Oregon, who they face on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m.
