Simpson Co-Player of the Week: Shaquille Jones
Shaquille Jones plays a big part in the Simpson University men’s basketball team’s process. With his speed and court vision, Jones is able to create offensive opportunities for the Red Hawks and get stops defensively.
Jones is a transfer from College of the Redwoods. During his freshman year at College of the Redwoods, he earned First Team All-Defense honors. During his sophomore year, he earned First Team All-League and team MVP honors and was in the Top 100 in the state. His academic accomplishments include making the Dean's List.
Simpson Co-Player of the Week: Kaity Hahn
Kaity Hahn is a vital asset to the Simpson University women’s basketball team. With her gentle spirit, she is able to lead on and off the court through her actions, intelligence, and poise. Her academic accomplishments include making the Dean's List.
Hahn had 10 points and two steals to help the Red Hawks defeat New Hope College on Saturday, Nov. 23 in the TCSA/DAP Hoops Classic Tournament. She also added 11 points in the Red Hawks’ loss against San Diego Christian College on Sunday, Nov. 24.
“This team means the world to me and I would do anything for them,” said Hahn. “We have a very special team this year and once we fill our roles and play consistently as a team we will be unstoppable. I’m excited and I really want the other seniors and I to finish our college careers with a bang!”
