Red Hawks fall to Owls

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Simpson University women’s basketball team traveled to Klamath Falls, Ore., to compete against the Oregon Institute of Technology Hustlin’ Owls on Tuesday, Nov. 12. The Lady Red Hawks lost 98-53.

Simpson started slower than usual, which set the pace for the rest of the game. With the Owls shooting 55 percent from the field and 64 percent from the 3-point line, OIT quickly pulled away and ended the half up 48-32. In the second half, the Red Hawks showed little effort in stopping the Owl shooters and finished the game with a 98-53 loss.

Katie Lenik led Simpson offensively with 10 points. Kaity Hahn and Tiffany Aaserude each had three assists.

The Red Hawks will look to bounce back on Friday, Nov. 15, when as they host the Simpson Classic and play against Northwest University at 7:30 p.m.
