Red Hawks get swept by Coyotes

CALDWELL, Idaho. - The Simpson University men's baseball team traveled to Caldwell, Idaho, to compete against the College of Idaho Coyotes in a doubleheader on Monday, March 31 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. resulting in a 3-0 loss and an 11-0 loss.

In both games the Red Hawks struggled to get hits, getting five hits in the first game and seven in the second game.

In game one, Alex Lee went 1-for-1 at the plate, and Luke Tessman led with three assists. Cameron Imhoff received the loss with 28 at bats, five strikeouts, and three earned runs. Tessman finished the game with four at bats and no earned runs.

In game two, Ryan Lombardi went 2-for-3 from the plate. He also received the loss with 20 at bats and seven earned runs. Humberto Solorio finished pitching with eight at bats and two earned runs.

Simpson will travel to Atherton, Calif., for their next series against Menlo College at 12 p.m. and 3p.m. on Saturday, April 5.
