Red Hawks lose at home to Holy Names

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University men's baseball team hosted the Holy Names University Hawks on Saturday, Feb. 22 and lost 13-5.
In the first inning, Holy Names scored two runs, but Simpson answered back with two runs of their own. Kurtice Hoffman scored off of a bobble by the Hawks and Elden Whisman scored on Casey Meyer’s single to right. Both teams didn’t score in the second, but Holy Names scored nine runs in the third inning to take the 11-2 lead. Simpson scored the three runs in the fifth and sixth innings before Holy Names score two more to win 13-5.
The Red Hawks will prepare for their next games on Sunday, Feb. 23 against Holy Names University and the University of Antelope Valley.
