Red Hawks finish third at Corban Invitational

SALEM, Ore. - The Simpson University men’s golf team traveled to Salem, Ore., to compete in the Corban University Invitational Golf Tournament on March 17-18.

After the first day, Simpson sat at second place out of seven teams, which included Concordia University, Oregon Institute of Technology, Warner Pacific College, Corban University, College of Idaho, and Northwest Christian University. With a team score of 618 after round one, Nick Maddalena sat at third place overall with a score of 151, Lucas Vaughn sat in sixth (153) and Nick Norgaard sat in 10th (154).

After day two, the Red Hawks finished in third place overall with a score of 932, finishing behind Concordia University (903) and Northwest Christian University (924). Maddalena finished in sixth place overall (229), Vaughn tied for seventh (230), Norgaard tied for 15th (234), and Marcus Mezzano tied for 20th (239).

The Red Hawks will prepare for their next invitational on April 7-8 at Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Ore.
