Red Hawks host NCAA II CSU Stanislaus

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University men’s soccer team hosted NCAA II CSU Stanislaus for the first time in men’s soccer history on Sept. 9. Simpson fell 4-1 to the Warriors.

The Red Hawks got on the board first, when senior Jon Dinius scored off junior Marvin Delgado's assist. The Warriors responded with consecutive goals from Clint Long and Ramiro Ceja. Jose Ramirez sealed the victory for CSU Stanislaus by scoring two goals to make it 4-1 Warriors.

Freshman goalie Mike Jones started the game for the Red Hawks and recorded 10 saves. Freshman goalie Tristin Webb relieved Jones in the second half and recorded five saves.

The Red Hawks will return to action by hosting Arizona Christian University at 2 p.m. on Sept. 14.
