Simpson wrestling ranked tied for No. 11 in NAIA Coaches Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Simpson University’s men’s wrestling team is tied with Oklahoma City College for the No. 11 ranking in the National Associate of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) according to the NAIA Wrestling Coaches’ Final Top 20 Poll of the 2014 season. The Red Hawks were previously ranked No. 13 on the NAIA Wrestling Coaches Top 20 Poll.

Defending national champion Grand View (Iowa) claimed the No. 1 spot after winning their second consecutive national title in 2013. Lindsey Wilson University (No. 2), Montana State-Northern (No. 3), Southern Oregon (No. 3), and Missouri Valley (No. 5) round out the top five.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the qualifying groups.
