Simpson Player of the Week: Kaylana Mah
Simpson University Sports News
Kaylana Mah has become a huge asset for the Simpson University women’s softball team during the 2014 season. As a freshman, Mah has shown that age doesn’t determine talent or skill by putting up big numbers and big plays for the Red Hawks.
Mah played four years of varsity softball at Gilroy High School. She also played field hockey and basketball. She was a 2012 CCS champion. She played club softball for the San Jose Sting.
Mah is also ranked nationally in several categories. She is ranked ninth in Total Runs Scored (32), 14th in Runs Scored Per Game (1.33), 37th in Total Runs Batted (22), and 42nd in homeruns (4). She also leads the Red Hawks with nine stolen bases.
On Sunday, March 16, Mah earned four RBIs in Simpson’s 12-1 win against Antelope Valley on Sunday, March 16. She also added a homerun went 3-for-4 from the plate.
