Red Hawks Lose to Pioneers

LANCASTER, Calif. - The Simpson University men’s baseball team completed its seven-game, Southern California trip with a 19-7 loss to the University of Antelope Valley Pioneers. The loss dropped the Red Hawks to 3-4 on the road trip.

Zach Morgan was on the losing end, giving up nine earned runs on six hits, with two strikeouts and four walks. The top hitters for Simpson were Josh Gilmore, who went 3-for-4 with a triple, double, and three RBIs, and Kenny Sellers, who went 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Simpson returns to action with a home game versus Lewis and Clark College on Feb. 27. The game will be at Tiger Field at 3 p.m.
