Simpson Drops Two to Yotes

CALDWELL, Idaho - The Simpson University baseball team team took on the College of Idaho Yotes in another doubleheader on March 29 at Wolfe Field. The Red Hawks lost both game by a score of 11-0.

Game one proved difficult for the Red Hawks as they were shut out 11-0. Casey Meyer tallied two hits at only three at bats for Simpson. Humberto Solorio received the loss, pitching 1.2 innings and allowing seven hits and eight earned runs.

Game two proved just as challenging for the visiting Red Hawks as they were shut out 11-0 once again. George Cechetti went 2-for-2 for Simpson. Kyle Martin received the loss, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing nine hits and nine runs, seven of which were earned.

The Red Hawks travel to Atherton, Calif., to take on the Menlo College Oaks on April 3 and 4.
