Red Hawks Drop Two To Warriors

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University baseball team played the first two games of a four-game series against Lewis-Clark State on April 18 at Tiger Field in Redding. The Warriors won game one 22-1 and won game two 11-0.
In game one, Dylan Mumford homered in the first inning to cut the Warriors’ two-run lead to one. This, however, was the only run scored by the Red Hawks as they were shut out in the following eight innings. Lewis-Clark State went on to take a 22-1 victory.
Robert Bristol received the loss after pitching two innings and allowing nine hits and eight runs.
Game two was equally as difficult for the Red Hawks as they were shut out 11-0. Mumford went 2-for-4 from the plate.
James Humphrey received the loss for the Red Hawks and allowed six hits and five runs.
The Red Hawks will take on the Warriors in another doubleheader for senior night on April 19.
