Red Hawks Lose on the Road to Top Conference Seed

ATHERTON, Calif. - The Simpson University women’s basketball team took on defending California Pacific Conference champion Menlo College in Atherton, Calif., on Jan. 29. After 40 minutes of play, the Oaks came out on top in a 73-46 loss for the Lady Red Hawks.
Simpson came out strong in the first half, allowing only 33 points in the first half and going into halftime down by only nine points. Menlo came out strong in the second half, making a quick jump to widen the lead and pull away from the Red Hawks. The Oaks out-scored the Lady Red Hawks 40-22 in the second half, putting them on the winning end of a 73-46 final score.
Brook Blaisdell led the Red Hawks with 12 points and six rebounds.
Simpson will travel to Angwin, Calif., to take on Pacific Union College on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m.
