Marymount Cruises Past Red Hawks

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson University women's soccer team fell to Marymount (CA) University 10-0 at home on Sept. 25.
Marymount came out strong and scored seven goals in the first half. The Red Hawks were only able to get one shot in the first half compared to the Mariners 19. In the second half, the Red Hawks only allowed three goals. Simpson recorded five shots in the second half.
Junior Brittany Mattingly had seven saves and allowed 10 goals in 90 minutes of play. Junior Brook Gaddy and senior Marijke de Hoop each had one shot and one shot on goal. Senior Amanda Tedesco led the Red Hawks with two shots, both on goal, and junior Baylee Wiechecki recorded one shot on goal.
The Red Hawks will host University of Antelope Valley on Saturday, Sept. 26. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
