Brown, Hallums, Thomas Receive All-American Honors; Stower Named NCCAA Coach of the Year

REDDING, Calif. - Four members of the Simpson University softball team were honored by the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA): head coach Wayne Stower, senior Aleisha Brown, and sophomores Paris Hallums and Courtney Thomas.

Stower was named NCCAA Coach of the Year after leading the Red Hawks to their first national title in program history and their fourth straight conference championship. He was also named the California Pacific Conference (Cal Pac) Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Brown and Hallums were named first team softball All-Americans. They also received NCCAA all-tournament honors. Hallums was also named Most Outstanding Player of the NCCAA tournament, Cal Pac Pitcher of the Year for the second straight year, and to the all-Cal Pac team.

Thomas received second team All-American honors. She was also named to the all-Cal Pac team.
