Feuerbach receives All-American honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2011 Softball All-American teams. Simpson University junior Nicki Feuerbach from Anderson, Calif., was selected to the NAIA All-American second team. She led the California Pacific Conference (Cal Pac) with a batting average of .446. She was also ranked 26th in the nation in batting average.
Feuerbach was also selected to the NCCAA I Softball All-American team and first team All-Cal Pac.
Simpson went 2-1 in the NAIA Softball National Championship Pool Play in their first appearances in school history. The Lady Red Hawks lost to North Greenville in the NCCAA National championship game 2-1 and finished second in the nation on Saturday, May 14.
