Rocklin, Calif- The Red Hawks traveled to take on the Warriors from William Jessup University in a doubleheader on Tuesday. The Red Hawks were able to take both game of the doubleheader winning game one 3-1 and taking game two 7-2.

In game one the Red Hawks sent Hayley Rodriguez to the mound to take on Emily Buhrkuhl for the Warriors. The Red Hawks scored the first in the game scoring once in the 2nd inning on a Valerie Rodriguez RBI single which would score Chelsea Dunn. The Red Hawks would double their lead in the 3rd inning when Aleisha Brown singled up the middle to score Nicole Hutchins to make the score 2-0 Red Hawks. The Warriors would score one of their own in the 4th inning but the Red Hawks would get it back in the top of the 5th when Dunn doubled to score Morgan Davis to make the score 3-1 Red Hawks after 5 innings. The Warriors would threaten in the 6th inning but the Red Hawks would hold on to their lead and eventually win 3-1. Hayley Rodriguez earns the win for the Red Hawks going 7 innings allowing just 1 run on 5 hits. Buhrkhul is hit with the loss for the Warriors giving up 3 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings. Dunn was 2-3 with a RBI, a run scored and a walk, Hutchins was 3-3 in the game with a runs scored and Valerie Rodriguez was 1-2 with a RBI and a walk.

In game two Morgan Davis would take the ball for the Red Hawks facing Andrea Lutz for the Warriors. Again it was the Red Hawks jumping out to a 2-0 lead this time scoring twice in the first inning when Davis doubled to reach base and eventually scored on a wild pitch from Lutz for the first run then Brown would score on a sacrifice fly from Dunn. The Warriors would score once in the 4th to cut the lead in half but the Red Hawks would come back with 3 in the 5th inning when Hutchins scored on a sacrifice fly from Brooke Quaife, Brown would score on a RBI single from Dunn and Nicki Feuerbach would single to score Dunn making it 5-1 Red Hawks. The Red Hawks would score their final runs in the 6th inning when Davis tripled to score Hutchins and Brown singled to score Davis to give the Red Hawks a 7-1 lead. The Warriors would add one more in the 6th inning but that would be all the could manage and the Red Hawks cruise to victory 7-2. Davis earns the win for the Red Hawks allowing 2 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings while Lutz gets the loss allowing 7 runs (6 earned) on 11 hits in 7 innings of work. Dunn was 1-3 with 2 RBI as Davis, Brown and Quaife each had 2 hits with a RBI a piece.

The sweep now puts the Red Hawk record to 22-21 and 9-2 in the Cal Pac. They will have a busy weekend upcoming starting with a doubleheader against the Hawks from Holy Names University starting at 4 pm.
