College: Hedburg is entering his first season playing for the Red Hawks. He transferred to Simpson from Taft College prior to the 2015 season. While at Taft, he received academic honors for having over a 3.5 GPA.

High School: Hedburg played three years of varsity baseball at Tehachapi High school. He also played basketball and football and ran cross-country. His basketball honors include being MVP of his JV team his sophomore year and earning first team all-league his junior and senior years. He received second team all-league baseball honors his sophomore, junior, and senior years and threw a no-hitter against West High School his sophomore year. It was his school’s first no-hitter since the 1980’s. His academic achievements include being on the honor roll and maintaining a 3.3 GPA.

Personal: Justin is the son of Terry and Lorie Hedburg. Singing is absolutely his favorite hobby. He has sung since elementary school and has done competitions like-wise to American Idol. He plans on trying out for the Voice or American Idol after college. He loves to socialize and bring laughter to those around him. He also enjoys playing basketball. His career goal is to become a successful businessman and work on information technology for computer companies.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson because of the great community it provides! It is a great college to experience fellowship with God and plus I get a chance to play a game I love, baseball."
