College: Thacker is entering his first season playing basketball for the Red Hawks. He transfered from Western Washington University. His academic achievements include maintaining a 3.4 GPA.

High School: Thacker played varsity basketball at Sequim and Mark Morris High Schools. He also played football and golf. His athletic achievements include being an all-conference quarterback and earning all-conference basketball honors in 2008-2009 for Sequim High School. He averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game in 2008-2009. He was also the first athlete in Sequim High School history to letter in three sports his freshman year. He graduated high school with a 3.65 cumulative GPA.

Personal: Nic is the son of Matt and Carol Thacker and brother to fellow Red Hawk teammate Dalton Thacker. He loves hiking with his dog Stella, golfing with his dad, and reading and writing. His career goal is to be a high school English teacher and coach basketball.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose to play at Simpson in order to continue playing basketball with my little brother after high school."
